Scrutineering and Safety Requirements
For everyone's safety and enjoyment on the day, these requirements need to be met
- Your bike must be checked in the scrutineering bay prior to going on the track. It will be checked for a number of safety issues such as tyre wear, brake wear, suspension, chain tension, levers and that nothing is leaking or falling off the bike
- Bikes do not need to be registered, but must be roadworthy and pass scrutineering
- No sneakers, desert boots, draggin jeans or open faced helmets
- Full leathers must be worn (1 or 2 pieces), full length motorcycle boots, and leather gloves. Hire suits are available for $50 including boots & gloves. Please book your size prior to the day
- You must ride with an Australian approved helmet. It cannot be damaged or cracked
- You must only ride in the session you have been graded into, and you can change groups on the day
- Indemnity Forms must signed prior to going on the track and your licence must be seen. No L plates are allowed.
How your day will run...
The gates open from 7.30am. That gives you time to come in, unpack and Sign On. At Sign On, please show your licence and then you will be asked what graded group you want to start in, and given the corresponding arm band. Then bring your bike through Scrutineering with your helmet. At 9.00am there is a Riders Briefing, explaining all the track rules and requirements to make the day as safe as possible. You will be given a timetable of when your group is on the track. There is a lunch break during the day for the flag marshals to have a brief rest. Each day finishes at 5pm (light permitting). Champion's Ride Days endeavours to give you 7 sessions throughout the day, depending on stoppages and pick-ups.
Also please note: NO fuel is available at the track.
Safety Points
Please note some of the key safety points that will be covered at the Riders Briefing:
- No stopping on the track at any time
- Obey the flags at all times
- Always indicate that you are leaving the track by raising your hand or lifting your foot off the peg
- No wheelies, burnouts, doughnuts at any time
- Obey the speed-limit in the pits and in pit-lane
Your safety is our biggest concern. Graded groups are designed to have similar-skilled and paced riders. If during the day, someone in your group is not riding at a similar level, let Champion's know. Champion's Ride Days will endeavour to remedy the situation always. Throughout the day you can move groups as your competence and confidence changes. Just come and see us at the Sign On desk to change your stickers and armbands.
Photography
Champion's Ride Days has a professional motor-racing photographer at every ride day. They take photos throughout the day at various parts of the track. These photos are then available for viewing and purchasing from their website after the event. On the day, meet the photographer or grab a business card from the Sign On desk.
Hire Bikes

Champion's Ride Days also have hire bikes. New 2007 Honda CBR600RR’s in superstock trim with Jardine exhaust can be yours for the day. They come with new tyres ready for you to enjoy. What you also get with the hire, is a pit garage, all your fuel and of course special treatment for the day. All you have to do is ride it!
